Sentinel for Windows
Install a local gateway on Windows with a one-click app — no Docker, no CLI
The Sentinel Windows app is the fastest way to protect a Windows machine. A single installer runs a local Sentinel gateway as a background service, points your AI tools at it, and adds a tray icon showing whether you're protected — no Docker, no Python, and no secret to copy. It's the Windows alternative to the CLI and Docker paths.
You'll need a SUPERWISE® account.
1. Download the installer

The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn you on first launch. That's expected — choose More info → Run anyway. To verify your download, check it against the published checksums in stable.json.
2. Install and connect
- Run the installer, then open SUPERWISE® Sentinel from the Start menu.
- On first run the app opens your browser to approve this device. Sign in and confirm — you'll see Access Approved. There's no API secret to copy: the app enrolls the device with your account.
- Back in the app, the Dashboard shows a green Protected banner and your connected Sentinel.
That's it. Your AI tools now route through the local gateway — open a new terminal and run a tool like Claude Code, and its traffic is inspected and guardrails applied before anything leaves the machine.
Your new gateway also appears in the Sentinels list in the SUPERWISE® app, where an admin can manage its guardrails like any other Sentinel.
The app
The app lives in the notification-area tray — closing the window hides it there rather than quitting. Its tabs:
- Dashboard — whether you're protected, the active Sentinel's name, when it connected, and this device's identity. Run check re-tests the connection.
- Protection — pause or resume protection, and see which guardrails are being enforced.
- Tools — the AI tools detected on the machine (Claude Code, Claude Desktop, and more) and whether Sentinel is enforcing for each.
- Diagnostics — status details you can copy or download, plus a self-test of the local gateway.
- Extension — status of the optional browser extension and where its files are on disk.
- About — version information, and links to the documentation and Terms of Service.
Also protect browser AI chat
The desktop app covers CLI and desktop tools. To also protect AI chat you use in a browser tab — a provider's own web UI — add the optional browser extension.
