Updates a sentinel and returns it. All body fields are optional. Its local_guardrail_config maps each guardrail type (secrets, pii, rudeness, language_checker, json_schema_enforcer, image_resolution, or image_sharpness_level) to a redact or block setting.

When to use it

Use it to change which guardrails a sentinel applies, and whether each one redacts or blocks.

Required parameters

• sentinel_id (path): the ID of the sentinel.

Optional body fields: name, description, location, local_guardrail_config, tokens_optimization_config, version.

Response

A successful call returns 200 OK with the SentinelSchema object, including id, name, location, local_guardrail_config, status (active or pending), version, and heartbeat_at.
