Creates a model provider with a name and a provider configuration. Supported providers are OpenAI, OpenAI-compatible endpoints, Google AI, Anthropic, and Vertex AI Model Garden; the provider field in config selects one.

When to use it

Use it to make a model available to agents and guardrails in your account. Check it with Test a model connection.

Required parameters

• name (body): the name of the model provider, 1 to 100 characters.
• config (body): the provider configuration, selected by its provider field.

Response

A successful call returns 201 Created with the ModelProviderSchema object: id, name, config, created_by, and timestamps.
