Creates a new version of an agent with a name, an optional description, the agent configuration, and optional guardrails. In SUPERWISE, publishing an agent creates a new version, and versions are immutable.

When to use it

Use it to publish a new configuration for an agent. To restore an earlier configuration, read it with Get an agent version and send it again as a new version.

Required parameters

• agent_id (path): the ID of the agent.
• name (body): the name of the version.
• agent_config (body): the agent configuration, one of a ReAct agent, a context chain, a basic LLM, or a Flowise configuration.

Optional body fields: description, guardrails.

Response

A successful call returns 201 Created with the new Version object, including its id, agent_id, agent_config, and guardrails.
