Creates a guardrail with a name, an optional description, and an observability setting. The rules themselves are added as a version.

When to use it

Use it to start a new guardrail, then publish its rules with Create a guardrail version.

Required parameters

• name (body): the name of the guardrail.

Optional body fields: description, observability_enabled.

Response

A successful call returns 201 Created with the GuardrailSchema object: id, name, description, observability_enabled, dataset_id, current_version, tags, and timestamps.
